Glynn’s Creek Hole Descriptions - Blue Tees

Par 4 413 Uphill tee shot with a dogleg left. There is OB to the left, with white stakes a few feet from the road. No-mow areas left and right of the fairway, but with plenty of rough in between. Tee shots should be aimed down the left center, leaving a mid iron into a back-to-front sloped green. A short miss is better than long.

Par 3 176 Downhill tee shot, with bunkers left and right. The green has a small ridge in the center, so pay close attention to pin placement.

Par 4 343 No-mow left and right, but a large fairway. A long iron or wood still leaves you with a short iron/wedge in. Trees left and right are played as lateral hazards. One greenside bunker short and right. There is a pond on the right that can be reached with a big drive. OB marked with white stakes by the road is deep of the green and is in play if misclubbed or a bounce off the cart path which runs left of the green and behind.

Par 4 417 A tight looking tee shot that opens up to a fairway that runs down to a flat. Trees to the left are played as lateral, and there is a chance to get a good right bounce from the left side. Right side has a cutout between two sets of trees. These wooded areas are easily reachable from the tee, also played as lateral hazards.

Par 4 377 An uphill tee shot, with trees left and a wooded area right. A well placed tee shot leaves you with a short/mid iron in. The green slopes severely at the back edge and runs to the right starting in the center. Pin location determines how aggressive the approach shot can be.

Par 4 396 3rd hole in a row where the fairway is important. A good tee shot runs to the bottom of the hill, leaving an uphill approach with a mid/short iron. Hazard area at the bottom of the hill on the left can cause trouble, and wooded area to the right is in play off the tee.

Par 5 490 A fairway with more room to the right than it looks off the tee. A large, very long, 3 tiered green with a bunker on the right side forces players to decide on a layup or going for it in two. Being on the correct tier on the approach shot is important.

Par 3 163 Straight-forward par 3 with bunkers left and right. Cart path left can lead to big bounces into the no-mow area which surrounds the left side of the hole.

Par 5 485 The most gettable par 5 on the course. A well placed tee shot is down the right side of the fairway, leaving players with a chance to get on in 2. A left miss off the tee makes the hole longer, a right miss leaves players with trees impeding their approach shots. Bunker short right of the green and OB white stakes long by the cart path.

Par 4 429 Tee shots that clear the hill give players a look at the green & a downhill approach shot. No-mow area to the right is reachable off the tee and runs the length of the hole. A ridge runs across the back third of the green, so pin location determines the approach shot. There is a bunker short left and a no-mow area deep of the green, with a hill sloping to it.

Par 3 199 The longest par 3 on the course. No-mow left and a wooded area right are played as lateral hazards. A swell in front of the green and bunker right can grab golf balls. Typically plays a club longer than the yardage. Par is a good score here.

Par 4 411 The first of 3 consecutive fairly short par 4’s. A wooded area long & left is in play off the tee, as well as no-mow right of the cart path. One of the flatter greens on the course, so a good time to try to make birdie.

Par 4 384 No-mow left and right are in play off the tee, but a wide fairway. A good tee shot leaves you with a short iron into a tricky green. Pay attention to pin location and the undulation of the green on the approach shot.

Par 4 348 Fairly sharp dogleg left. 220 yards is a safe tee shot that gets around the corner, but not through the fairway. The wooded area left is played as lateral. A more aggressive tee shot with wood or driver can carry the trees and reach the fairway. Tee shots to the right can go through the fairway and trees can guard an approach shot to the green.

Par 5 520 A decently long, straight-forward par 5. Tee shots can reach the trees on the right or wooded area left which is played as lateral. The fairway is fairly wide all the way down, with more room to the right than the left. Both left and right no-mow areas are played as lateral hazards. There are two small bunkers short left and short right of the green.

Par 3 170 Straight-forward par 3 with one bunker short right, and two bunkers to the left. An iron to the center of the green is usually the best play regardless of pin location.

Par 5 568 The longest par 5 on the course. Tee shots to the right can reach the wooded area or cause players to punch their next shot. There is no-mow left of the rolling hills on the left side of the fairway. Be aware of the cart path left on 2nd shots. Not an overly difficult green, but starts to slope back left at the center.

Par 4 411 A somewhat blind tee shot on the finishing hole. The wooded area left is all lateral. If you miss, miss right. An aiming point down the right side is the safest play. One pot bunker guards the front center of the green.
