$50 Entry Fee

Format – 36 Hole Medal Play Competition, Flighted Before the First Round

Tees – Saturday – Players will Play the White Tees on the Both 9’s

          Sunday - TBD

Saturday Shoot-Out:

Last Year the non-Championship flight players qualified for the shoot-out. This year, the top 10 scores from the Championship/Presidential Flights will qualify for the shoot-out. In case of ties for the final spot, players will play #1 with the lower score rating in to compete in the shoot-out. If there is still a tie, a chip off on #1 green will be held with the closest chip winning.

Rules

USGA Rules will be followed with the following exceptions:

Local Rules:

No Mulligans or Gimmees. All putts must be holed.

Winter Rules: Players may “bump” their ball to improve their lie within 6 inches of their original spot. Balls on the green, in a penalty area or sand trap or out of bounds may not be moved. Saturday: Due to rain, players will be allowed to Pick, Clean and place their ball if they are in the fairway. Balls in the rough may use winter rules but may not be cleaned. Drop areas will be marked on holes 8 & 9. Players may use the drop area or proceed under Rule 17.

The use of range finders is allowed. Devices must have their slope feature turned off.

Players get free relief from areas considered ground under repair. White painted areas will help identify some ground under repair areas. There are too many bare areas to mark so as a general rule: old tree stumps, wet areas from leaking sprinkler heads, and the trench behind #4 are ground under repair. Also, areas torn up by animals search for grubs and the rough area between the sand traps on #6 has bare spots and many tree roots sticking up, this will be considered ground under repair.

Areas explicitly not considered ground under repair:

• Bare areas around trees

• Minor bare areas in the rough or fairway

• Areas directly under pine trees

Old sand traps on #8 are now considered “waste bunkers” and should be played under Winter Rules

Penalty Areas are marked by Red Lines

There are drop circles on #8 and #9 if you hit it in the pond on those holes. If you are in the creek on #8 there is a drop circle. There is a 2nd drop circle on #8 across the creek for those that enter the penalty area left of the cart path.

Additionally, that drop circle should be used as relief for anyone on the cart path on number 8. Out of bounds defined by White Stakes on 6, 7, 8 & 9, (the white stakes by the old range area define the out of bounds on #6), the road behind 4 Green, and the road leading to the clubhouse – The optional rule to allow players to drop in the fairway under 2 penalty strokes will NOT be play. Players must play from their last shot again if they are out of bounds.

If in doubt, play two balls, keep track of both scores and ask the rules committee after the round
