Hole 1 - Par 4, 385 yds

OB left (houses) and right (range), both marked with fence/white stakes.

Hole 2 - Par 4, 370 yds

OB left (houses, staked) and right (fence). No-mow along fence = General Area.

Hole 3 - Par 4, 358 yds

OB left (houses with white stakes). Water on the left corner of the dogleg is a red lateral hazard, as is the water through the fairway. OB right (fence). No-mow along fence = General Area.

Hole 4 - Par 3, 158 yds

OB left by properties and on/over the road.

Hole 5 - Par 5, 520 yds

OB right (housing), marked with white stakes. No mow left all the way to and around the back of the green is red lateral area.

Hole 6 - Par 3, 182 yds

OB right (houses). No mow and creek left are a red lateral hazard.

Hole 7 - Par 4, 270 yds

OB right, over the railroad. No mow and creek left are a red lateral hazard. No-mow along the railroad is red lateral area.

Hole 8 - Par 3, 135 yds

No mow and creek are in between the tee and green. The maintenance area or yard on the opposite side of the cart path beyond the green is OB. On the cart path is in-bounds.

Hole 9 - Par 5, 525 yds

The creek starts on the left side, crosses the fairway near the landing zone of drives, and then follows the right side up to the green. OB right (fenced area) turns into a red lateral with trees and water. The clubhouse area is free relief if you happen to go left/long on your approach/layup.

Hole 10 - Par 4, 427 yds

No mow left and right is red lateral area. The white stakes on this hole do not apply (for Hole 18 only).

Hole 11 - Par 4, 343 yds

No mow left and right is red lateral area.

Hole 12 - Par 3, 143 yds

Water left is a red lateral hazard.

Hole 13 - Par 4, 364 yds

No mow runs from the tee to the green up the right side. Trees and water on the left are a red lateral hazard which ends at the range, which is OB, and is not visible from the tee.

Hole 14 - Par 3, 196 yds

Fence left is OB, no mow left is red lateral.

Hole 15 - Par 5, 538 yds

No mow left and right, both red lateral. OB left (fence).

Hole 16 - Par 3, 172 yds

No-mow over the green is red lateral.

Hole 17 - Par 4, 370 yds

No mow left and right, both red lateral. OB left (fence).

Hole 18 - Par 5, 555 yds

OB is on the right side of the tree line to the right of the hole. On the left is a red lateral hazard.

General Rules:

USGA, IHSAA, and MVC bylaws will govern the tournament. A coach-appointed Rules Committee will be on-site to handle any disputes. The rules committee for this event is composed of coaches determined in the Coach Meeting.
Adopted Local Rules:

No Mow Areas (Red Penalty):

• General Rule: All tall, unmaintained no-mow areas across the course are defined and treated as Red Penalty Areas under Rule 17, even if not physically painted with red lines. Relief options (including lateral relief) apply for one penalty stroke.
• Exception (Holes 2 & 3): The narrow no-mow strip running along the boundary fence on Holes 2 and 3 is not a penalty area; it is defined as part of the general area. If a ball is lost in this strip, it is treated as a Lost Ball (Rule 18.2). Penalty area relief does not apply; the player must proceed under stroke and distance.

Preferred Lies ("Lift Clean and Place")

Applies only to a ball lying in the general area cut to fairway height or less.

• Procedure: A player may lift, clean, and place the ball within one club-length of its original spot, no nearer the hole.
• Requirement: The original spot must be marked before lifting. Once placed, the ball is immediately in play.

Relief from Abnormal Course Conditions (Temporary Water & Flood-Damaged Bare Ground)

• Temporary Water: Free relief is granted for casual water interfering with stance or lie in the general area, bunkers, or putting green under Rule 16.1.
• Bare Ground / Flood Damage (Ground Under Repair): Any areas of bare ground, turf erosion, or mud deposits caused by recent flooding in the general area are deemed to be Ground Under Repair (GUR), even if not marked with white lines.
• Relief Procedure (General Area): Find the nearest point of complete relief no nearer the hole, and drop the ball within one club-length of that reference point, in the general area.
  Putting Green: If temporary water or flood-damaged ground lies on the line of play between the ball and the hole, free relief is granted by placing the ball at the nearest point of complete relief.

Ball Embedded in General Area (Rule 16.3)

Free relief is available for a ball embedded in its own pitch-mark anywhere in the general area (including rough and flood-damaged ground, not just fairway-height grass).

• Procedure: Drop within one club-length of the reference point directly behind where the ball embedded, no nearer the hole, in the general area.
