Legacy at 19

Welcome to the Elite Showdown.

The tournement is a memorial for our three passed golfers from our Clear Lake Golf Community

Cade Pleggenkule

Ethan Astor

Easton Devries

Our hearts and prayers go out to the families who contribute much to our program in their boy's names.

We feature a strong field from three States. Last Years State Champions, third place finishers and many returning state qualifying teams and individuals

Rules

Legacy Course Notes #1. Smooth Operator A welcoming opening par 5 in true Golden Age fashion. The wide fairway and large green.

#2. Cutty A shorter par 3 with a pronounced right-to-left slope and a front-right bunker. It favors a left-to-right tee shot to hold the green. That slope doesn’t stop at the approach—it’ll affect your putting line as well.

#3. Fox A slight dogleg left par 4, often made longer by prevailing west winds. The green is small and flat but guarded by bunkers on both sides. A short second shot followed by an uphill chip is often the smart play. **OB is the Fence on the left side of the entire hole. Pond on the right is a lateral penalty area.

#4. Risk A classic risk/reward drivable par 4. It plays uphill but often benefits from a tailwind. Two fairway bunkers and two greenside bunkers await aggressive tee shots. The green is blind while the flag is visible. The left side is marked by white OB stakes through the hole. Pond far right.

#5. Wicked A short par 3 with a wickedly sloped green. Raised lip bunkers partially obscure the green from the tee. OB on the left side of the hole. OB is the fence behind the hole.

#6. Boom Boom A short par 5 for long hitters, but not without danger. Fairway bunkers to the left and water to the right demand careful placement. Pond straight is lateral.

#7. Trek The longest par 4 on the course, stretching to 463 yards from the “Daly” tee. OB is fence over the green, about 20-30 yards.

#8. Help The longest par 3.. The green is large, making chips from short shots manageable..

#9. Northern Exposure A long par 5 with scoring potential. A Bendelow hump in the landing area can propel a long tee shot forward, making the green reachable for some. The small green is well protected by two greenside bunkers, creating a fitting “birdie/bogey” finish to the front nine. The driving range is in play, but you must find it. Off to the left off the tee is long grass and an older maintenance shed. Play as Lateral.

#10. Long Run A long, downhill par 4. The left side is now exposed due to the removal of diseased ash trees, making the OB line feel closer. White stake marks OB and Ponds are lateral.

#11. Sophia A par 3 that plays over water to a small green. Ponds are lateral.

#12. Curly A tight par 4 with trouble on both sides—water left, trees and a fairway bunker right. A left greenside bunker acts as a “savior,” keeping pulled shots inbounds, but escaping it with precision is tough. The small green slopes left to right and is difficult to hold. OB left down the entire hole.

#13. Careful A short but tricky par 4. OB is on the left.

#14. Stretch A long par 4—usually into the wind—but softened by a wide fairway and large green. This hole sets the stage for Legacy’s own “Amen Triangle,” a demanding stretch of 15–17 where pars are excellent scores. OB is marked on the left side.

#15. Amen A sharp dogleg right par 4 where big hitters can try to carry the corner—but risk running into woods or the new fairway bunker. The green is small and sloped, featuring a Bendelow hump, and is guarded by bunkers on both sides. The first of three tough holes that make up Legacy’s Amen Triangle. Forest to the left is lateral penalty area.

#16. Triangle A demanding long par 3. Bunkers short and right complicate the tee shot, and the small, sloped green challenges even strong putters. The forest on the left is lateral.

#17. Slip Sliding Away A long par 4 into a prevailing wind with a small, unprotected green Forest is on the left, play as lateral. Trees come into play both left and right. One of the toughest holes on the course—and a tough place to stop the bogey train.

#18. Redemption A straight, long par 5.. The soft landing area and uphill finish make it play longer than expected. Two bunkers on the right catch long approaches that leak. Still, this is the best birdie chance on Legacy’s demanding back nine—a chance to finish strong.
