TIME: Coaches Meeting – 8:05 AM Players Meeting – 8:40 AM Boys to Tees - 8:50 AM Spectators Meeting – 8:45 AM

TEE-OFF: Shotgun Start 9:00 AM - We will play BLUE TEES. Tee Assignments (available upon arrival)

RULES: 6 members from each team will be allowed to participate. We will play 18 holes and score the top 4 individuals from your school.

USGA & IHSAA rules will govern all play. The ball will be played DOWN.

Local rules will be covered at the Coaches Meeting.

Range Schedule:

7:00 – 7:30 CCA, Marion, Mt. Vernon, Solon

7:30 – 8:00 Benton, CPU, West Delaware, Williamsburg

8:00 – 8:30 Grinnell, Independence, South Tama, Vinton-Shellsburg

8:30 – 8:45 Open

General Rules

General Rules: IHSAA & USGA rules govern all play. The ball will be played DOWN everywhere on the course.

We will play BLUE TEES.

Out of bounds: All out of bounds penalties are STROKE and DISTANCE. You must replay the next shot (after going out of bounds) from as near as possible the same spot of the original ball. If on the tee, re-tee. When in doubt of out of bounds, ANNOUNCE your intentions and play a provisional ball (make an identifying mark different from the original ball.)

Local Rules: Free drop from all cart paths, flower beds, bridges, in-course fences. Nearest relief and drop the ball into play.

ALL NO MOW IS PLAYED AS A RED PENALTY AREA (LATERAL HAZARD)

Water Hazards and No Mow: OPTION 1 – Drop second ball within two club lengths of the point of entry of the hazard, no nearer the hole. One stroke penalty. OPTION 2 – Keep the point of entry into the hazard between you and the hole, dropping the ball in play, no nearer the hole and as far back as desired. One stroke penalty. OPTION 3 – Re-hit the second ball from as near as possible the original shot. One stroke penalty.

Hole – By – Hole Preview:

Hole #1 – Lateral hazard to the left. The pond to the far right of the green is a RED PENALTY AREA.

Hole #2 – Lateral hazard on left and right. Behind the green is RED PENALTY AREA.

Hole #3 – OB left marked by white stakes. No mow behind the green.

Hole #4 – OB left marked by the fenceline. (no relief from fence)

Hole #5 – OB left marked by white stakes. No mow right side up by the green.

Hole #6 – No mow along the whole left side. No mow areas in the right rough.

Hole #7 – In-course OB left, marked by white stakes, only applies on tee shots.

Hole #8 – No mow areas surrounding the entire hole.

Hole #9 – Pond to the right. NEW NO MOW BEING INTRODUCED BETWEEN LEFT SIDE OF #9 FAIRWAY AND DRIVING RANGE.

Hole #10 – No mow areas on the left & right of the hole. No mow area behind the green as well.

Hole #11 – No mow areas along the left side of the hole. Additionally, no mow areas right side of the hole up by the green. OB long over the green, marked by white stakes.

Hole #12 – Water hazard on the right side of the hole. OB on the left, marked by white stakes.

Hole #13 –No mow areas along the left side of the hole and on the right side up by the green. OB left as well, marked by white stakes. Will discuss more at the coaches meeting

Hole #14 – No mow area on the left side of the hole and in front of the tee.

Hole #15 – No mow area on the left side of the hole and around the left side of the green. Pond from hole #12 could come into play on approach shots hit to the right.

Hole #16 – No mow areas on the left and right side of the hole.

Hole #17 – No mow area left of the green.

Hole #18 – OB along the left side marked by white stakes. No mow area along the right side.

Spectators

We encourage spectators to follow along on the course and support players. Following are some guidelines for spectators to know:

• Spectators may not converse with the competitors until the final score card has been signed and submitted. It's encouraged to keep a minimum of 10 yards between you and any competitor.

• Applause and encouraging comments such as "nice putt" or "nice shot" are encouraged however spectators should adhere to golf etiquette when doing so.

• Spectators should not provide any type of instruction or ruling.

• Spectators may help spot/search for a ball for players but are not allowed to touch the ball.

• Golf carts may or may not be available for spectator rental. They will be available on first come basis. We encourage spectators to walk if they do not have any limitations of doing so.

• Cell phones need to be on silent or vibrate while on the course.

• Talking on cell phones should only occur when you will not distract or be heard by any golfer.

• No alcohol should be consumed on the golf course.

Any spectator disrupting play will be asked to leave the course.
