GCC Course Rules

USGA Rules apply, with the following exceptions:

• Free drop from cart paths, sprinkler heads, and control boxes.
• There are many newer trees with protective sleeves/fencing around them. Golfers are allowed a free drop away from those trees; no closer to the hole.
• Out of Bounds on the perimiter of the course is marked with white stakes. Hitting out of bounds results in a penalty stroke plus loss of distance.Holes with potential OB plays are 1, 2, 3, & 4.
• The Driving Range, surrounded by Holes 6, 8, and 9 is also out of bounds. Penalty for hitting into the driving range is one stroke plus loss of distance.
• Balls landing in ground under repair are allowed the relief of one club length (no closer to the hole).
• Shots on Hole #2 must be played left of the flag near the pump house. Balls hit to the right of the flag incur a one shot penalty. Your next shot is hit from the drop area north of the pond, next to the pump house.
• Water Hazards. Holes 2, 3, and 7 play around the water. If you hit into the water, you may take a one stroke penalty and play from a drop of no more than two club lengths from where the ball entered the water, no closer to the hole.
• A ball entering a no-mow area may be played. If you choose to take relief from the no-mow, a one stroke penalty is incurred. The ball may be dropped within two club lengths, no closer to the hole.
• Every group must have an official scorekeeper. All golfers in the group must agree on the score for each golfer, after the hole is completed, but before teeing off on the next hole.
• If there is a discrepancy or disagreement on a score, circle it for review with the judges at the end of the round.
• All golfers within the group must complete a scoring review with the official scorekeeper, and sign the official scorecard. Once signed by all participants, the official scorekeeper will turn the official scorecard in to the scorer's table.
