📋 Pin Oak Course Notes

Pin Oak Pub & Links

  • Red tees

  • All no mow is played as a red penalty area- most are marked with red stakes identifying the area. If there are not stakes around the no mow area, use the edge of the no mow to identify the red penalty area.

*New trees are marked by tubing, mulch around the bottom and/or posts. You MUST take relief from these trees for your stance, swing, and line of flight.

*Stumps and grinded stump areas are played as Ground Under Repair. The grinded area is either mulched up woodchips or black dirt. These all should be marked with white paint.

*Out of Bounds Marking: White stakes, fence posts or poles mark the out of bounds. Use the bottom of these items to define the out of bounds. This takes the chains and fencing out of view to determine if a ball is in play.

Course information
#2- The bare areas right next to the cart path are played as part of the cart path and are Ground Under Repair.

#3- There are newly planted grassy plants on the mounds. Relief will be stance and swing. Each plant has a little flag next to it. On the right along the housing line, there is a small section that has a white line painted from one stake to the other to mark the out of bounds.

#4- Pond is a yellow penalty area. There is a drop area to use as one of your relief options.

#6- There are newly planted grassy plants on the mounds. Relief will be stance and swing. Each plant has a little flag next to it.

#8- Mini pine trees behind the green- they have little tubing around the base of them- these will be played as Ground Under Repair- Stance and swing only.

#9 – There is In Course Out of Bounds along the right side of the fairway in the tree line. THIS ONLY APPLIES TO THE TEE SHOT! It is defined by white stakes from the # 9 tee up to the last white stake behind # 10 tee – this applies to hole # 9 only.

#10- Front teeing ground is Ground Under Repair- use the edge of the dirt/straw area as the edge.

#11- Ground Under Repair is marked by the large trees on the dog leg. You do not have to take relief, but if you are in the white area, you can take relief. (roots)

#12- The straw area to the right of the green in the trees is marked as Ground Under Repair. Only the area marked in white paint is considered GUR.

#13- Out of bounds- the edge of the paved road behind the green. There is also Out of Bounds left (white stakes, electrical pole by the ditch and the road).

#14 - Out of bounds- the edge of the paved road left of the fairway and behind the green. You may ground your club in the Waste Bunker

#18- Out of bounds runs the whole left side, behind the green, to the right of the green and around the clubhouse. The no mow areas and culvert are all red penalty areas. There is a drop zone to the left of the pond you can use as one of your relief options
