Rules and Cart Riding Information

Groups Riding

Hole 17- PV, Benton

Hole 16- Centerville

Hole 15- Williamsburg

Hole 14- Albia, North Scott

Hole 13- Ottumwa

Hole 12- Indianola, Ft Madison

Hole 11- Davis County

Hole 4- Oskaloosa

All other groups will walk

Stroke Play, 18 Holes

IGHSAU and USGA Rules of Golf will govern play, except as modified by the listed local rules.

All play will be from the RED tees.

We will play the ball as directed by the coaches.

10 Max Score

Spectators are welcome! All spectators should stay at least 30 yards in the rough. Away from the players and the greens. Coaches should help with this, please.

Soft-Spikes required.

DO NOT cross out or erase scores. If you record an incorrect score circle it and put the correct score below it.

Mark your ball for identification purposes. Make sure you are playing your own ball.

Keep play moving! Play ready golf!

If there is a question regarding rules or scores, play two balls through the hole and get a ruling when possible.

Play a declared “provisional” ball if out-of-bounds is a possibility. (Rule 27-2 a. b. c.)

Kodiak Scoring App will be used. Also a scorecard will be turned in after the completion of 18 holes, after it has been signed by the entire group.

In the case of a tie in team scores we will go to the 5th score; if still tied we will go to the 6th score. In case of a tie for medalist we will card back from hole #18.

Ottumwa Country Club Hole by Hole

*The maintenance shed in the middle of the course is played as GUR on all holes.

*All exterior boundaries are out of bounds.

*No mow is General area

HOLE DESCRIPTIONS:

1.   The driving range on the right is in play.
   

2.   OB right 
   

3.   OB along the right side.(Fence is the line) Against the fence is in play but no relief from it. 
   

No mow behind green.

5.   Penalty area left
   

6.   Penalty area left. Drop zone for pond next to cart path on far side of pond.
   

7.   Penalty area left and way right.  OB long.
   

8.   OB all along the right (The curb is the line). OB deep in bushes
   

9.   OB long behind the green—in the parking lot. Driving range right is in play.
   

10. Penalty area along the entire left side. GUR to the right in maintenance area. FREE DROP(full relief and club length)

11. Penalty areas throughout the hole. Drop zone for pond right of the cart path on far side.

12. OB left the entire length of the hole and behind the green. Penalty area right.

13. OB left the entire hole. The gravel road plays just like any other cart path you get relief for stance and swing. Gate at end of road is in bounds. Full relief(GUR)

14. Maintenance area left is GUR. FREE DROP(full relief and club length)

15. Penalty areas throughout the hole.

16. Ditch in front of tee is penalty area. Right and long is Penalty area.

17. OB right. Penalty area left the length of hole.

18. OB right and long. Penalty area left the entire hole. Penalty area bottom right of fairway(along cart path)
