πŸ“‹ Tournament Information

Format: 2-Person Scramble with Calcutta

  • Handicaps are not used.

Tees

  • Women – Red
  • Seniors (65+) – Gold
  • Men – White

Tournament: 2-Day Scoring

  • The number of flights, places paid out and payout amounts will depend on the final number of team entries.
  • Each flight will have the same payout structure.
  • The first day of tournament play will set the flights for the 2-day tournament score. You will now compete against just the teams in your respective flights.
  • Bump Rule – a bump card between 7-9 will be drawn prior to tee-off Friday. No one will know what card is drawn until the conclusion of play on Saturday. For example, if the bump card drawn is a 7. You will be bumped up a flight in tournament play if your team shoots 7 strokes or better than the top score from your respective flight on Day 1. Example, top of the flight shot a 70 on Day 1. Your team shoots a 63. The bump card is a 7. You will be bumped up a flight for the final tournament scoring. Not applicable to the 1st Flight.
  • All ties will be decided by a putt-off on the 18th green.

πŸ“‹ Calcutta

Calcutta

  • The first day of tournament play will also set the flights for the Calcutta. Teams will remain in these flights as no β€œbump rule” is used for the Calcutta. ONLY the second day scores are used for final Calcutta scoring.
  • Pop Score – β€œpop” = 1 stroke, within each individual flight, a team may be rewarded a β€œpop” for each 3 strokes they are behind the leader of the flight after day 1 scoring. Ex. Top of the flight is a 68, team 1 shot a 70, team 2 shot a 71 and team 3 shot a 75. Team 2 will get 1 pop and team 3 will get 2 pops. This means that on day 2, team 2 will start -1 and team 3 will start -2 in the Calcutta ONLY.

How does the Calcutta work?

  • All teams will be auctioned off by flight.
  • 20% of the total auction income will go to ROCC. This is a great opportunity to raise money for ROCC while enjoying the auction.
  • The remaining total auction money will pay out 4 places in each flight. 1st-40%, 2nd-30%, 3rd-20% and 4th-10%. Each flights auction money remains solely in that flight.
  • The first team auctioned in each flight will be a wildcard. Meaning, the winning bidder gets to pick which team they want to own. After the wildcard the remaining teams in the flight will be auctioned off starting with the bottom of the flight.
  • All auction fees will be paid immediately following the end of the auction.
  • Each team can β€œbuy back” 50% of their team from the winning bidder until tee off on Saturday. NOTE: Auction payments will be paid by the winning bidder. Any splits or buy backs will NOT be the responsibility of the cashier. Payouts will be made back to the winning bidder and any payout splits will be the responsibility of said bidder.

πŸ“‹ Play Rules

Overall Play Rules

  • Play the ball up.
  • You may not move your ball closer to the hole, out of a bunker or from behind a tree.
  • A lost ball or ball hit OB (out of bounds-white stake) will be a 1 stroke and distance penalty (hit from previous spot or re-tee off).
  • A ball hit into a hazard (red stake) can be played with no penalty (if playable) OR pulled out of the hazard with a 1 stroke penalty.
  • Drop zones are placed on hole 2 for balls hit into the pond and on hole 6 for balls hit into the ditch.

πŸ“‹ Side Contests

Team Shootout - Thursday 4:30pm - Signup in the Clubhouse

  • 2-Person Alternate Shot - $20/team
  • Knockout Format – team with the highest score on each hole will be knocked out of the game until only one team stands.

Skins

  • Included in your entry fee.
  • Skins will be counted for both rounds of play.
  • After both rounds have completed skins will be tallied up and paid out. Ex. 3 teams each win 1 skin. The pot would be split 3 ways.

High/Low Chipping Competition

  • Each player from the top team and the bottom team from each flight after Saturday’s final round will compete.
  • The selected players will face off in a chipping contest from the flat spot behind the sand on the 18th hole.
  • Each players distance from the hole will be added up for a total team distance.
  • Closest total team distance to the pin wins $200 pot.

  • Hit the green on your tee shot on the selected par 3 and you are entered into the raffle.
