πŸ“‹ Welcome

Solon High School Girls Golf would like to welcome you to beautiful Saddleback Ridge.

πŸ“‹ Regulations

Regulations: 9 holes medal play. Red tees front nine. 6 players per team with best four counting toward team score.

πŸ“‹ Rules

General Rules:
IHSAA & USGA rules govern all play. The ball will be played DOWN everywhere on the course. We will play from the RED tees.

Out of bounds:
All out of bounds penalties are STROKE and DISTANCE. You must replay the next shot (after going out of bounds) from as near as possible the same spot of the original ball. If on the tee, re-tee. When in doubt of out of bounds, ANNOUNCE your intentions and play a provisional ball (make an identifying mark different from the original ball.)

Local Rules:
Free drop from all cart paths, flower beds, bridges, in-course fences. Nearest relief and drop the ball into play.

Course Etiquette
Please play at the proper pace to avoid delays.
Replace divots
Repair ball marks.

πŸ“‹ Hole by Hole

ALL NO MOW IS PLAYED AS A RED PENALTY AREA WITH THE ONLY EXCEPTION BEING #7 WHICH IS MARKED OB WITH WHITE STAKES.
Hole #1 Lateral hazard to the left. Pond to the far right of the green is a RED PENALTY
AREA.
Hole #2 The woods on the left and right are played as a RED PENALTY AREA. Behind the green marked RED PENALTY AREA.
Hole #3 OB left marked by white stakes.
Hole #4 OB left marked by the fenceline.
Hole #5 OB left marked by white stakes.
Hole #6 The no mow to the left of the hole is played as a lateral. NO OB
Hole #7 In-course OB left, marked by white stakes.
Hole #8 No OB, the no mow is played as a RED PENALTY AREA
Hole #9 Pond to the right. RED PENALTY AREA. Drop Zone.
If you cross the cart path behind the green or if the ball is in the area where the golf carts are parked, you will be allowed to use the FREE DROP ZONE marked.
Hole #11 OB way behind the green
Hole#12 OB marked by the white stakes on the left. Water is RED PENALTY. Drop Zone
Hole #13 OB marked by the white stakes on the left.
Hole #18 OB marked by the white stakes on the left. The road is the OB boundary behind the green.

  • All no mow is played as a red penalty area whether it is marked or not. If not marked, use the edge of the no mow as the line.
*Ground Under Repair. Use group consensus.
*When deciding if a ball is out of bounds, use the bottom of the stakes, fence posts or poles that mark the out of bounds. This will take the fencing or chains in some areas out of view to determine if a ball is in play.

πŸ“‹ Awards

Awards:

Individual Medals for each 1st and 2nd players. Tie for first and second will be by card back using handicap holes.

πŸ“‹ Food

Food: Please do not bring food into the clubhouse. The clubhouse will have food available for purchase.

πŸ“‹ Spectator Information

We love to see parents there supporting their daughters and the team at our golf meets. If this is your first meet or if you need a refresher, here are some guidelines to know.

  • Keep at least 10 yards from any competitor.

  • Golf carts may or may not be available for spectator rental. Please check with the club house when you get to the course.

  • Spectators may not converse with competitors. Violations of this rule could result in a penalty or even disqualification of the golfer. Walking beside your daughter will be deemed having a conversation with them.

  • Applause and positive comments such as β€œnice shot” are encouraged, but spectators may not speak in private with the competitors. Please do not attempt to give rulings to competitors.

  • We are guests and ask for your assistance in using trash cans and observing proper golf course etiquette.

  • Lightning Procedure. If inclement weather dictates the removal of people from the golf course, a warning horn will be sounded. Please seek shelter immediately.

  • Once players reach the green, spectators should be up with the players even with the green on or near the cart path, so the approach shots of the next group of golfers are not hindered.

  • Spectator cell phones need to be on silent or vibrate while on the course.

  • Spectators may only use cell phones (talk) while in the clubhouse.

  • Spectators are allowed use of their cell phones as a camera but should not use flash during play.

Thank you for your cooperation pertaining to these matters.
