📋 Rules

Lies

We will be playing preferred lie in the fairway - you may pick up, clean, and place the ball within 6 inches of the previous spot, no closer to the hole. Rolling the ball with your club is acceptable as well. Everywhere else, we will play the ball down - no moving the ball or improving your lie with the exception of an embedded ball or casual water.

Lost Ball

Normally, you are supposed to re-hit, but due to time constraints, we are going to play this as a lateral hazard. Drop within 2 club lengths of the approximate position of the lost ball and incur 1 penalty stroke. In addition, we will consider all non-mowed areas lateral hazards. So, if the ball enters the trees or prairie grass, you can play it as a lateral hazard at the point of entry into the non-mowed area. Always discuss the situation with your opponent when taking a drop. Please limit your search time to a few minutes.

Lateral Hazard

For speed of play, every non-mowed area and tree line will be considered a lateral hazard. You can either drop within 2 club lengths of the point of entry into the lateral hazard, or you can move back from entry point in line with the flag as far as you want - you CANNOT use the flight path of the ball to drop along. Always discuss the situation with your opponent when taking a drop.

Drop Areas

Drop area at Preserve for #13 is at the bottom of the hill near bridge. All other drop areas are the forward teeing area.

Gimmes

To speed up play, gimmes will be allowed (and encouraged) if the ball is within the putter head and the start of the putter grip (standard length putters only).
